J&K and Himachal Pradesh are in the thick of fresh snowfall, driven by a western disturbance that's turned the region into a winter spectacle-and a logistical challenge. In J&K, old Srinagar saw snow spells today. Higher up in Bandipora, a snow avalanche struck Khandyal village. Parts of Kupwara also woke up to fresh snow. Over in Himachal Pradesh, the state's battling heavy snow that's disrupted everything from roads to power. The Atari-Leh National Highway 3 is among several routes shut down, with Kullu, Lahaul-Spiti, and Kinnaur districts hit hardest-think roads blocked, transformers knocked out, and daily life on pause.
