Jairam Ramesh on Yamuna: Stop blame game
After water supply was shut down in several parts of the Capital last month because of very high levels of ammonia in the fresh water which could not be treated, the Delhi government blamed the shutdown on their neighbouring state Haryana for releasing polluted water. However, when the Environment Minister made an inspection of the 22km Yamuna stretch flowing through the Capital, he found that Delhi had no one else to blame for its polluted water but herself.
