The battle for Amritsar between Arun Jaitley and Amarinder Singh is heating up as the elections approach. Speaking to NDTV, Mr Singh, a Congress candidate and former chief minister, said he is fighting from Amritsar because his party has asked him to. He also said that Mr Jaitley should stop talking about national issues while campaigning in Amritsar. "Mr Jaitley is representing Amritsar so he has to talk about issues that concern people here. Leave national issues behind for now," he said.
