Jammu agitation refuses to die down

For over a month, the clashes over the Amarnath land controversy have paralysed Jammu. After 10 days of violence, the Army was called in on Saturday. But that did not stop protesters from defying the curfew. They want the Amarnath shrine land back at any cost. The death of two people in police firing on Friday has aggravated emotions. The governor had assured the pro-shrine activists that the Amarnath Yatra Board will have more representation from Jammu.
