Veteran lyricist and poet Javed Akhtar has received the prestigious Richard Dawkins Award. The award, named after the world-renowned biologist, recognises individuals who "publicly proclaim the values of secularism, rationalism, upholding scientific truth". Javed Ahtar has been honoured with this award for his "reason" and "rationality". Javed Akhtar speaks to NDTV on being honoured with the prestigious award.
