Jayalalithaa's Identity Has Come A Long Way From Films, Says AIADMK Leader
Contesting in the closely-watched 2016 Tamil Nadu elections on an AIADMK ticket, K Pandiarajan says that party chief Jayalalithaa is no longer seen as a film personality. "Her identity is that of a provider. For women she is a role model. People think of her as a fighter," he says. He also speaks about the lack of access to Jayalalithaa, a charge of sycophancy among her followers and her poll promise of prohibition in the state.
