Top private airline Jet Airways cancelled at least 14 flights on Sunday after some of its pilots, protesting unpaid salaries, called in sick, sources said. The loss-making Jet Airways has been defaulting on the payment of salaries to its senior management, pilots and engineers since August due to a severe cash crunch, the Press Trust of India reports. The airline's spokesperson asserted that flight were cancelled "due to an unforeseen operational circumstance, not pilot non-cooperation."
