It appears to be the end of the road for one of India's marquee brands. Jet Airways took on Air India to offer world-class domestic and international services, until it went bankrupt in 2019 after its debt exceeded Rs 7,500 crore. Five years after a plan was put in place to restore the airline with new owners, the Supreme Court made it clear the non-implementation of the resolution plan was peculiar and alarming and the entity taking over Jet would be liquidated.
