A jeweller was shot dead in Uttar Pradesh's Mainpuri town and some cash was allegedly looted from him last evening. Rajesh Verma had just closed his jewellery shop and was on his way home when he was attacked by two men on a bike and shot dead. Mr Verma was taken to the district hospital where he was declared dead. After the incident, hundreds of people went to the hospital and raised slogans against the police and the district administration.
