At the Sagarmanthan: The Great Oceans Dialogue, Unmesh Sharad Wagh, Chairperson of the Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA), discussed the Vardhvan port's green initiatives. He emphasized that the new Vardhvan Port in Maharashtra will be carbon-neutral from the outset. With ships turning off engines while docked, tugboats running on green fuel, and electricity sourced from renewable energy, the port fully aligns with the Prime Minister's sustainability goals.
