Protests are raging at the Jawaharlal Nehru University campus in Delhi after the student union president was charged with sedition and put into a lockup. Several prominent Left leaders, including CPI(M)'s Sitaram Yechury and CPI's D Raja and later Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi ended up on the campus to show solidarity with students protesting the crackdown on the University.
