Joshimath "Sinking": 9 Decades Of Warnings Ignored?
Decades before the first power plant was constructed in Joshimath in 1980s, two Swiss geologists Arnold Heim and Augusto Ganseer carried out a survey and published a book in 1930s named 'Central Himalaya'. In their book, the geologists stated that Joshimath is situated on the debris of a landslide and is unfit for any kind of construction work.
