"We know that the geologists say that Joshimath is going down by 85 mm each year. NTPC is saying it is not because of them... We stand with the people. We will do everything we can... The situation is not out of control. We are not trying to spread panic," Shadab Shams, spokesperson, BJP Uttarakhand, said when asked whether affected people would be able to go back to their normal lives.
