Judge takes into account BMW expose case
While pronouncing the quantum of punishment for Sanjeev Nanda, accused in BMW hit-and-run case, there were some strong comments from the court. The judge took into account NDTV's expose on the offender trying to buy witnesses and said, "It's time to evolve a new principle of sentencing where there is clear proof that the offender had indulged in winning over the witnesses as it needs a higher quantum of punishment."
