The Supreme Court on Monday came down heavily on ragging, suspending former principal of a Himachal Pradesh medical college where a student Aman Kachroo died after being ragged by his seniors. A committee appointed by the Himachal Pradesh government had found S Sankyan, the former principal, culpable. The Aman Kachroo incident has not been the only ragging incident in the RP College. There have been three incidents earlier in 1999, 2002 and 2006. But all of them were hushed up.
