It's a book that made headlines and much controversy days before its official release. Former President Kalam was today attacked by another NDA ally, the Shiv Sena, for saying he would have appointed Sonia Gandhi as Prime Minister in 2004 if she had staked claim to the post. The revelation in the former President's new book has punctured a long standing theory that it was his opposition to her foreign origins that stopped her from getting the top job.
