Kanwariyas Gather At Prayagraj Ghat To Fetch Ganga Water To Offer It At Lord Shiva Temples
Thousands of Kanwaris or devotees of Lord Shiva assemble at the Dashashwamedh Ghat in Prayagraj city of Uttar Pradesh every morning to collect water from the Ganges for offering to Lord Shiva during the Hindu month of Sawan.
Pilgrims come from nearby towns and cities and collect water from the holy river in special containers.
