After seven years of controversies and gathering dust, the Socio-Economic Survey of the Karnataka government, completed in 2017, was finally submitted to Chief Minister Siddaramiah. But given the strong opposition to accepting it from the dominant Lingayat sect and the Vokkaliga caste groups, there is a question mark over whether the report will amount to any substantial decisions or acceptance.
