Karnataka: Congress Government's Welfare Blitz
The Karnataka government is on an overdrive gearing up for the inauguration of the Gruha Jyothi scheme on August 5. The scheme that promises 200 units of free electricity every month will kick off even as women are swarming offices to get registered for another scheme - the Gruha Lakshmi scheme which will give women like 40 year old Parvathi who fall below the poverty line and are bread winners Rs 2,000 every month.
