Karnataka Hit By Heavy Rain. Is The Government Ready?
Once again this monsoon, Karnataka is dealing with more rain than it can handle. Belagavi and other northern districts, coastal Karnataka and Kodagu are some of the regions battered by thunderstorms. Rivers have crossed their danger mark, dam gates were opened to release water and low lying areas were inundated. But the government, which has releases Rs. 50 crores as emergency relief, insists it is ready this time round.
