Karnataka will vote on May 10 to elect a new government and members to its 224-seat assembly, the Election Commission announced on Wednesday. The results will be declared on May 13. India logged 2,151 new coronavirus cases, the highest in five months, while the active cases have increased to 11,903, according to Union Health Ministry data updated today. The death count has increased to 5,30,848 with seven deaths, the Health Ministry said. Three deaths were reported by Maharashtra, one by Karnataka and three reconciled by Kerala. Google has been ordered by the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) to pay a fine of Rs 1337.76 crore within 30 days. The penalty was imposed on the tech giant for indulging in unfair trade practices and other top stories.
