Karni Sena Blocks Highway In Protest Against Padmaavat
Members of the Karni Sena blocked the Mumbai-Agra highway on Monday to protest upcoming the Padmaavat. Karni Sena members in Rajasthan and other places are meeting multiplex and cinema hall owners, asking them to not screen the controversial film. The Sanjay Leela Bhansali-directed period drama was earlier slated to release in December last year. However, following violent threats and protests by the Karni Sena and other groups, the film will now release on January 25.
