Kashmir: Security forces reach out to people to win their confidence
The new approach adopted by the police and the CRPF in Kashmir to sensitise its forces seems promising. Security forces are being trained to use non-lethal means to control protesters and prevent stone throwing. They've also launched programs about the cultural, social and religious sensitivities of people in the area.
