Kashmir Terror Update: PM Sharif After India Suspends Indus Waters Treaty

The heinous attack targeting tourists in the Pahalgam area of Anantnag in Kashmir on April 22 has sent shockwaves worldwide. Retaliating to the 'cowardly' attack, India on April 23 has taken a series of strong measures against neighbour Pakistan. The key decisions include suspending the Indus Waters Treaty, 1960, and closing the Integrated Check Post Attari with immediate effect. Now, reacting to India's action, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed his disappointment and gave "ultimatum". PM Sharif gave a strong warning to India on April 26 reacting to India's concrete step to punish Pakistan over the attack. In his address, he warned that Pakistan will respond with "full force" if India attempts to divert Indus waters. PM Shehbaz also called the Pahalgam Terror Attack "yet another example of perpetual blame game".
