In a major milestone for the Udhampur-Baramulla Rail Link (USBRL) project, Indian Railways has successfully conducted trail runs on the Katra-Reasi section, a significant part of this ambitious infrastructure initiative. The 111-kilometer Katra-Reasi stretch faced multiple challenges during construction, requiring expertise from global professionals. The Jammu–Baramulla railway line, covering 338 kilometers, will connect the Kashmir Valley to the rest of India, passing through breathtaking landscapes, including the Pir Panjal range. This project, particularly the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link (USBRL) spanning 272 kilometers, promises to revolutionize transportation and connectivity in Jammu and Kashmir.
