Sending a special message to NDTV during the NDTV-Tata Sky #IndiaForKerala telethon, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said Kerala on its own will not be able to mobilise required resources needed to rebuild the state's infrastructure after the devastating floods. The Kerala CM said he seeks cooperation from the Union government, state governments and people from all over the world in the mission of rebuilding Kerala. Talking about the damage incurred by Kerala, Mr Vijayan said several roads and electricity lines have been damaged in the state, and preliminary assessment of damage comes to around Rs 20,000 crore. The Chief Minister said that the people of Kerala displayed immense courage and urged the viewers of NDTV to contribute to the Chief Minister's Disaster Relief Fund.
