Kerala govt brings veggies back on platter
Happy and healthy days are here again for Indira. For the past one week, she says, her family had been forced to forsake vegetables because of spiralling prices and non-availability. She is now at the special fair price vegetable outlets opened by the Kerala government where every item is 30 to 60 per cent cheaper than any other vegetable shop in Thiruvananthapuram.
