Khaps change strategy, now get girls to back them?
Leaders of Khap panchayats have changed their strategy after the widespread criticism and a Supreme Court panel calling it illegal. In perhaps a first of its kind, in Uttar Pradesh's Muzaffarnagar, girls organised Khap meetings where they supported the Khap leaders' diktats of not using mobile phones, not wearing western clothes and going out alone.
