Health is a serious issue in rural and tribal areas. Diseases that children inherit from anemic parents like sickle cell anaemia can prove to be fatal due to lack of information. In such a situation, many lives are saved by the efforts of some people to raise awareness and help. Gajendra Patel, an MP from Khargone Barwani, through his Sushiladevi Umravsih Patel Seva Sansthan, has been organizing health camps and blood donation camps to combat the sickle cell anaemia disease prevalent in the tribal community.
