Kolkata all decked up as Durga Puja festival kicks in
Mahashashthi, which is the first day of the five day Durga Puja festival, is being celebrated across Kolkata today. Several pandals in the city are decked in blue and white. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, it seems, played a major part in deciding the colour theme for the event.
