Kolkata reels under monsoon fury
The Sukhia Street in North Kolkata is one of the worst affected by the rains of the last two days. The road leads to an equally badly affected Amhert Street, a more arterial road. It has been in waist deep water for 24 hours and more, and relief boats were seen plying up and down with drinking water and foodstuff for the people stranded there.
