Kutch's Textile Craft Ajrakh Gets Geographical Indication Tag
The renowned textile craft Ajrakh, primarily practised in the western part of Gujarat, has been granted the prestigious Geographical Indication, or GI tag, marking a significant milestone in the preservation and promotion of the state's cultural heritage. Originating from the Sind region of Pakistan this craft is predominantly practised in Ajrakhpur, Anjar, and Kawada areas of Kutch.
