Ladakh: Setting Up Usha Silai Schools In Anganwadi Centres

The Ladakh Skill Development Mission and the Social and Tribal Welfare Department aim to set up Usha Silai Schools in 13 Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) or Anganwadi Centres. These schools will train Anganwadi Workers, enabling them to teach sewing and stitching skills to women visiting the center. The initiative will commence as a pilot program, with potential expansion to other regions in the union territory upon its success, as per the plans.
