Despite completing her graduation, Lajjawati, a resident of Puredev Khan Village in the Barabanki district of Uttar Pradesh, was struggling to find a job. Making ends meet was proving to be the biggest hurdle for her, despite her qualification. She was openly asked to bribe if she wanted a job, as if money and not certificates that matter for employment. But Lajjawati did not give up, she decided to do something of her own and become independent. She opened her own Silai School. Now, she is a Silai teacher and training other women as well.
