Lalu wants Hamid Ansari as next President
With the race for Rashtrapati Bhawan hotting up, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief and former Bihar Chief Minister said today that Vice-President Hamid Ansari should be the next President of India. Sources told NDTV yesterday that former President Dr APJ Abdul Kalam is on the list of probable candidates for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). However, former party President Rajnath Singh said today the party is still meeting on the issue and no names have been finalised yet.
