Land Bill: Consent from 80% land owners should be made mandatory, says expert
The version of the land acquisition bill approved by the Group of Ministers this week is too diluted according to Harsh Mander, former member of the NAC. Mr. Mander feels that consent of 80 per cent of land owners should have been made mandatory, and adds that the bill should be applied retrospectively.
