AR Rahman, speaking to NDTV, said that Lata Mangeshkar's death leaves a "void that will remain forever." The Academy award winning composer shared how Lata Mangeshkar "inspired him to go to the recording studio" and compose music. He added, "Lata ji was not just an icon, she was a part of the consciousness of India."
