Law officers should stay miles away from those charged: Harish Salve

After NDTV reported on how the Gujarat riots cases may have been compromised with the prosecution and the defence colluding, senior Supreme Court lawyer Harish Salve said that law officers should steer clear from those against whom there are charges. Though Mr Salve was careful in not taking names as it involved professional colleagues, he said that legal officers dealing with criminal cases should refrain from meeting those they are investigating, even if they are ministers.
