Law to tackle molestation on the anvil
Shocking pictures of two women groped and molested on New Year's Eve by around 50 men in the upscale Juhu locality, sparked off nationwide outrage that eventually became a sustained media campaign for justice. Though the victims weren't willing to press charges, the police were forced to act. Three days later, 14 men were arrested and then let off on bail because the charges against them were mild.
