In Pakistan, the new coalition partners Pakistan People's Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) chief Nawaz Sharif have announced that all judges sacked by President Musharraf will be reinstated.The standoff between Musharraf and the judiciary became a rallying point for pro-democracy forces and proved to be the undoing of the Musharraf-backed regime.
