Left partners oppose land reforms in WB
Buddhadeb Bhattacharya's bid to make land acquisition in West Bengal easier for industry, commerce, infrastructure and SEZs has received a set back. His party, the CPI (M) and its partners in the Left Front have failed to agree on changes proposed in the Land Reforms Act of 1955, including removing the land ceiling, which would make acquisition easier.
