Left to discuss timing of withdrawal
Left parties meet on Friday to discuss the modalities or timing of withdrawal of support to the UPA government. But it is now virtually certain that the Left will not withdraw support on Friday or before the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh leaves for Tokyo on Monday to attend the G8 summit. This comes after a clear division over a strong statement by CPM General Secretary Prakash Karat where he said PM's G8 trip indicates that the government is going-ahead with the N-deal.
