Aamir Rafeeq Peerzada, a producer of Lighting The Himalayas, talks about the initiative's aim to electrify the Phugtal Monastery with solar power. Standing at the south end of the monastery, which was on the other side of the mountain, Aamir says that life at the monastery is exhausting. We have to trek for half-and-hour for lunch or tea and coffee from the main part of the establishment where we spend most of our time. "To enter into any cave here, we have to climb anything from 200 to 500 steps", he adds. Tune in for more on the initiative and the monastery.
