Bengaluru has witnessed a massive real estate boom over the years due to the IT explosion in the city. The Brigade Group has changed the skyline of the city since its emergence in the late 1980s. One of India's leading property developers, the Brigade Group's diverse portfolio, spanning residential, commercial, retail and hospitality development, stood at a massive 70 million square feet of developed space at the end of FY20-21. After 35 years of leading from the front, Chairman M.R Jaishankar is now paving the way for his two daughters, Pavitra Shankar and Nirupa Shankar - who have already made a name for themselves as inheritors of a very proud legacy. NDTV spoke to the family on what lies ahead for the Brigade Group.
