Loan waiver: Farmers in debt trap again
A 69-year-old Vidarbha farmer was a relieved man on Monday, when he spotted his name on the coveted list - the list of farmers whose loans have been waived by the Central government. Two days later, he's a bitter man. His debt of Rs 17,000 may have been written off, but red tape has tripped up hope of a fresh crop loan.
