Local Resident Says After US Strike On Sanaa: "They Struck Suddenly"

Residents of a neighbourhood hit by a U.S. airstrike in the Yemeni capital Sanaa said on Monday (March 24) they were caught by surprise when they heard the explosion. A U.S. airstrike late Sunday (March 23) on a building in the Aser neighbourhood of Sanaa left at least one person dead and 13 others injured, according to the Houthi-run health ministry.Eyewitnesses said the casualties were passersby on the street, and the building itself was unoccupied at the time of the strike.The U.S. military has so far released few details about its offensive against Yemen, launched after Houthi threats to renew its attacks on Red Sea shipping over the war in Gaza.
