Lok Adalats in Delhi become tech-savvy
People of Delhi had their first experience of the digital Lok Adalat on Sunday. No files moved as nearly 100 magistrates settled more than 12,000 cheque-bounce cases at the five district courts. The magistrates decided thousands of cases at the speed of a mouse click. The one-day exercise made a sizeable dent in the huge workload of courts. "Experience shows once a case goes to court, chances of settlement are considerably reduced.
