LPG, CNG Price Rise: Middle-Class Families And Small Business Owners Respond
The price of domestic cooking gas, LPG, was hiked by a steep Rs 50 per cylinder across India on Monday. The government also announced a price increase of Re 1 per kg for CNG, along with a hike in taxes on petrol and diesel to shore up its revenues. The hike in LPG prices hasn't gone down well with consumers, as they complain that already high inflation is pinching their pockets.
