"Made A Promise... Here I Am," PM Tells Indian Community In Sydney
Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a campaign-style rally at a 21,000-capacity Sydney arena on Tuesday, with Prime Minister Anthony Albanese playing emcee. The Indian Prime Minister was greeted at the event venue with Vedic chanting and other traditional types of welcome. "When I came here in 2014, I had promised that you will not have to wait for another 28 years to meet an Indian Prime Minister. So here I am again in Sydney," said the Prime Minister amid loud cheers.
