Madhapar village in Gujarat's Kutch district, claimed to be India's wealthiest village, has redefined the concept of villages and has become a bustling hub of prosperity and growth. Many residents who have settled abroad, predominantly in the USA, UK, Canada, Africa, and Gulf nations, have contributed to their families' prosperity back home. With more than 17 banks situated in the village and around 7,600 housing establishments, the village has a cumulative deposit of around Rs 7,000 crore in these banks, primarily from NRIs.
